An historic building along Avenue A was preserved and renovated into 26 SRO apartments with community and support areas, as well as new commercial tenants on the first floor. As a tax credit project approved by the National Park Service and Massachusetts Historic Commission, Blackstone Block Architects’ design included preserving the existing interior tin ceilings, wood windows, doors, stairs and railings, as well as the exterior brick and limestone ornamentation.
